Understanding Red Light Therapy
Step 1
Step 1: Light Exposure
Red light therapy involves exposing the eyes to specific wavelengths of red light, which are believed to stimulate cellular activity and promote eye health.
Step 2
Step 2: Cellular Stimulation
The red light is shown to increase blood supply to the retina to increase choroidal, and potentially, the scleral thickness to slow the axial growth of the eye in children.
Step 3
Step 3: Regular Sessions
Consistent therapy sessions are recommended to achieve optimal results. Two 3 minuite session per day for 5 days a week.
What Our Patients Say
A brilliant new technology for short-sightedness
It is so wonderful to find an eye care professional who keeps on top of all the new technologies coming onstream and I feel so lucky we found Kieran. He introduced my 12 yo son to a brand new myopia management technology with red light just before Christmas. Although my son was wearing myopia control lenses – and has done since the age of 6 – his shortsightedness increased rapidly in the second half of last year. He now uses a red light device twice a day, looking at it for 3 min each time. The result after only 3 months has been astonishing – the 3 month check found that not only did it hold successfully the myopia progression but there was a slight reduction (fingers crossed!)
L.L.
“The Eyerising device is easy to use and navigate. It was simple to integrate into my routine and did not take up much time at all. Most importantly, I have not experienced any discomfort after the 3-minute treatment, and the initial blurriness disappears within a minute or two”
